2021 July School Holiday Art Classes
We'll be running art classes for children aged 6 - 13yrs on a specific theme these school holidays. The classes will be held at the Gallery 1855 in Tea Tree Gully. It's going to be a blast. Numbers are strictly limited to 6 children per session. We've added a little description of each session below to give you an idea of what we'll be creating too. We can't wait to see you there and are very excited about getting arty with you all!

SENSATIONAL SEAS

In this class students will be creating an undersea painting where we will learn about negative space. We'll get a little messy in this class as we use a variety of tools to create loads of texture! Then we'll get a little more precise with our paint brush as we work in the negative space of our painting to create a beautiful monochromatic underwater scene.
Duration: 1hr Date: Monday 5th July, 2021 Time: 10:30am - 11:30 Ages: 6-13yrs Location: Gallery 1855, Tea Tree Gully What to bring: A drink bottle for drinking. A snack to eat. Be sure to wear some old clothes or bring a smock. This class uses acrylic paints which do NOT wash off of clothing. |
FABULOUS FLOWERS

In this class students will work with a variety of mediums to create a colourful vase of flowers. We will learn about complementary colours and colour mixing as well as creating texture through mark making. We will then look at painting in the negative space to bring our flowers to life! This class is better suited to older students as it requires some more refined paint brush skills and is a slightly longer lesson.
